The Picture Book Re-Imagined: The Children's Book Legacy of Pratt Institute and Bank Street College of Education

Pratt Manhattan Gallery will present The Picture Book Re-Imagined: The Children's Book Legacy of Pratt Institute and Bank Street College of Education, taking place from July 12 through September 15. The exhibition explores the impact of the two innovative New York institutions on the development of children’s literature and illustration. Curated by Leonard Marcus, this exhibition represents a significant collaboration between Pratt Institute and Bank Street College. Both institutions have played a seminal role in furthering the illustrated children’s book as an art form.

Leonard Marcus is one of the world’s leading writers about children’s books and the people who create them. He is the author of more than 25 award-winning books including Margaret Wise Brown: Awakened by the Moon; Show Me a Story: Why Picture Books Matter; and The Annotated Phantom Tollbooth.
